Wait, put that pomegranate down a moment. A more general search about the number of seeds provides many more links suggesting the pomegranate actually has 613 seeds. But these references are different; they nearly all draw attention to a purely symbolic association between the pomegranate and the 613 commandments of the Jewish Torah.

Should I scrabble around in the digital dirt for connections between 613 and 840? But I can’t tell if it's worth it (and I wouldn't like to speculate).
